Established to fulfill the cooperation consensus between the then Ministry of Electronics' senior leaders and Mr. Cheng Yu-tung and Mr. Cheng Kar-shun of New World Development (Hong Kong). The company was founded with the mission of "revitalizing the motherland's electronics industry and accelerating the four modernizations" as an integrated industry-trade-technology enterprise. Approved by the Ministry of Electronics Industry in 1997 and established in Zhongguancun, Haidian District, Beijing.

Our original mission is:“Strengthen economic and technological cooperation with domestic and foreign electronics manufacturers, promote the sales of well-known, premium, special, and innovative electronic products in China, and serve the cultivation and prosperity of the market; cooperate in investing in domestic electronics enterprises, develop high-tech and high value-added electronic products, and serve the transformation of enterprise operating mechanisms and the development of the electronics industry; implement the combination of domestic and international operations to expand electronic product exports”
